At AO Outdoors, your satisfaction is important to us. We understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations. This policy explains how returns and refunds are handled for purchases made from our store. By placing an order, you agree to and accept this policy in full.
1. Return Eligibility Window
Returns are accepted within 15 business days from the date of delivery. Certain categories are non-refundable (see Section 2). Returns requested after this period will not be accepted.
2. Non-Refundable Items
- Base layers and undergarments (for hygiene reasons)
- Ammunition (for safety and regulatory reasons)
- Firearms that have been fired or had optics/accessories attached
- Crossbows that have been fired
- Riflescopes that have been mounted (20% restocking fee applies)
- Used or damaged consumables
- Opened software or digital products
3. Restocking / Handling Fees
- $25 for orders under $1,000
- $55 for orders $1,000 and over
- $105 for NFA (National Firearms Act) items
- A minimum 20% restocking fee applies to mounted riflescopes
- Restocking/handling fees are deducted from your refund
4. Product Condition Requirements
Products must be returned in new, unused condition with all original tags, manuals, accessories, and original packaging. If original packaging is missing or damaged, the return may be rejected. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is defective or incorrect.
5. Reporting Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Items
Customers must report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items within 72 hours of delivery. Reports must include photo and/or video evidence. Email all evidence to: contact@aooutdoors.com.
6. Refund Method & Processing Time
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method only. Refunds are processed within 15 business days after the returned item is received and inspected. We do not offer store credit unless the customer specifically requests it.
7. Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, unless the product is defective or the product is incorrect due to our error. In such cases, we will cover the return shipping costs.
8. Return Authorization Process
To initiate a return:
- Email contact@aooutdoors.com with your order number, reason for return, and supporting evidence (if applicable).
- Our support team will review your request and, if approved, issue a Return Authorization (RA) number.
- Ship your item using a trackable shipping method to the address provided in your RA instructions.
- Returns without a valid RA will not be accepted.
9. Special & Large Orders
Returns for special orders or large bulk purchases are subject to approval at our discretion.
10. Holiday Return Window
During the Christmas and New Year holiday season, return windows may be extended to accommodate seasonal purchases.
